Emerald Isle’s Only Oceanfront Resort Receives a Makeover.
The Islander Hotel & Resort, the only oceanfront hotel in Emerald Isle, North Carolina, is near the completion of a $2.5 million dollar makeover. The renovations include an Upscale Lobby, Grand Ballroom, Conference Room, Business and Fitness Center and new Market Place. The renovations also include the addition of 20 new interior corridor rooms. “The Islander Hotel & Resort is a special place and we believed it was time to update the look and feel of our public spaces, while adding needed guest rooms and amenities that will appeal to both the leisure and business traveler,” stated Developer Mr. Samer Hamad.
The property will now provide 102 rooms with 4500 square feet of meeting and banquet space, pool bar, outdoor wedding pad with updated decorative design and landscaping. “I am confident our guests will appreciate the new look and feel of the hotel and our Grand Ballroom is going to be something special that we know will increase our conference and wedding business,” stated Barry Eagle, President/CEO of Crown Hotel and Travel Management.
The completion date is scheduled for April and a public grand opening ceremony will take place sometime in May or early June.
